Crowd management and seating

Have you applied for concerts but are not sure what tasks you’d like to take on? The role of external and internal crowd controllers is to guide guests outside and inside the arena. Their goal is to help guests find the appropriate entrance, section, or seating area. We welcome you to the team if you’re compassionate and can adapt to unexpected situations. 

Program venue assistant

Join us as a venue assistant and utilise your language skills with international guests, performers, and participants. As a venue assistant volunteer, you can encounter various positions and locations throughout the festival grounds (e.g., wandering fair, circus, living statues, craft tent). With the right determination and resourcefulness, you can become an integral part of the festival’s operations.

Environmental steward

In the spirit of environmental protection, volunteers are also responsible for greening the events, operating recycling promotion points, and implementing selective waste collection (e.g., distributing recycled cigarette butt collectors to guests). They spend their shifts in a cheerful team atmosphere, handling their tasks with perseverance and dedication. Join us as an environmental assistant!

Terrain organiser

Our volunteers can try themselves as terrain organizers at the EFOTT Festival, where they demonstrate strong teamwork, equipped with appropriate gear and tools, to clean up the festival grounds. Administrative assistant

The volunteers responsible for administration tasks usually work in the HR department, press office, or at the volunteer base. They are in charge of keeping track of volunteer attendance sheets, distributing their work attire and other benefits, and recording them. If you feel your strengths lie in your high level of patience and calmness, as well as possessing technical knowledge, become an administrative volunteer!

Action team

The Action Team is a diverse group that often handles ad hoc tasks. Volunteers in this position spend their shifts at the volunteer base until they receive a task. As a result, volunteers from the Action Team can be transferred to another position where there is a shortage or a need for substitution. If you thrive on variety and want to try yourself in as many tasks as possible, join the Action Team!

Construction team

In pre- and post-event activities, volunteers participate in the setup and dismantling of the festival, which not only involves hard physical work but also proves perseverance in tasks such as fence installation, painting, or area cleaning. These tasks can also be performed as members of the technical department, where varying levels of fitness are required to complete the tasks. Join in pre- and post-event work and spend most of your shifts in the days leading up to or following the festival!

Camping operations

We designed this position for you to leverage your communication skills. The task of campground operators is to oversee the life and operation of the campground and provide assistance to guests. Demonstrating good communication skills and patience is essential to fulfilling the task. As part of pre- and post-work activities, you can also participate in the construction and dismantling of the campgrounds, which further builds a positive atmosphere and environment within your team.

Entrance assistant

In this position, volunteers are usually tasked with guiding guests at the entrances of festivals or arenas. In addition to crowd control, they also take on roles such as wristbanding, ticket checking, and interpretation to assist foreign guests in navigating. We highly recommend this role for you if you are confident in using a foreign language (e.g., English, French, German), thorough, and thrive on hustle and bustle and networking.

Information assistant

The information assistant is a volunteer who always smiles, communicates effortlessly in foreign languages, and has a good answer to every question. They are aware that they convey the friendliness and values ​​that the festival organizers work on throughout the year. The information assistant is prepared, kind, has great endurance, and patience. They can work not only at the information desks but also in many other roles that require these skills.

Traffic controller / Parking assistant

Do you feel you have good organizational skills? Then these positions were tailor-made for you. Utilizing cooperative skills is useful for completing the tasks, considering the strong teamwork among volunteers. The task of traffic control volunteers is to direct the car traffic arriving in the vicinity and area of ​​the events while striving for maximum safety for pedestrian traffic. To this end, they provide information to guests arriving by car and direct the car traffic arriving in the area. Since directing traffic and parking lots can be a task performed over a large area, excellent endurance can also be an advantage for you.

Safety First

You can only apply for this position at Balaton Sound. The task of Safety First volunteers is to ensure and promote safe festival experiences in collaboration with the security service and first aid providers. They assist Hungarian and foreign guests in safely enjoying the festival by transmitting information via radio, patrolling, or assisting at Safety First points.
